Orioles stay perfect, Story homers again

The Baltimore Orioles stretched their winning start to the MLB season as Trevor Story hit yet another home run.

The Orioles improved to 5-0 thanks to a 5-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays as Manny Machado starred with two RBIs.

Colorado Rockies rookie Story just keeps hitting homers, delivering his seventh of the season in a 6-3 win over the San Diego Padres.

Jay Bruce's walk-off triple saw the Cincinnati Reds past the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-1 and the Washington Nationals beat the Miami Marlins 4-2.

Pitcher Marco Estrada led the Toronto Blue Jays past the Boston Red Sox 3-0, the Philadelphia Phillies overcame the New York Mets 5-2 and the Oakland Athletics got past the Seattle Mariners 2-1.

The Los Angeles Angels were too good for the Texas Rangers 3-1, the San Francisco Giants recovered from a five-run deficit to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 9-6 and the Chicago Cubs had a 7-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The St Louis Cardinals swept the Atlanta Braves with a 12-7 win, the Milwaukee Brewers edged the Houston Astros 3-2 and the Kansas City Royals walked off in a 4-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins.

The Cleveland Indians-Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees-Detroit Tigers matches were postponed.


Machado went four-for-four in the Orioles' fifth win to start the season. He had two RBIs and scored twice, while homering in the second inning.


He crushed his third homer of the season to help the Orioles take control early.
