Salford Red Devils are looking into crowd trouble at the end of Monday's Super League encounter at Huddersfield Giants in which players fought with fans.
The incident occurred following Salford's narrow 26-24 victory against bottom-of-the-table Huddersfield at John Smith's Stadium.
Salford players including Junior S'au and Justin Carney jumped into the crowd, with media reports suggesting they were responding to cries for help from family members who were being squashed by their own fans.
The club subsequently took to Twitter to condemn the scenes and vowed to find those responsible for the trouble.
"We'd like to apologise for the behaviour of some of our fans today. We'll be working with @Giantsrl to find those involved," the club posted.
"We do not condone any behaviour of the sort."
