Liam Plunkett has been drafted into the England squad for the World Twenty20 because of a calf injury to Steven Finn.
Finn had been expected to be fit for the World T20 after missing the fourth Test and one-day and T20 series with South Africa because of a side strain.
But another muscular issue has put an end to his hopes of featuring in the tournament in India, with Yorkshire bowler Plunkett taking his spot.
Plunkett made just the second and third T20I appearances of his career in the UAE against Pakistan late last year, taking three wickets in each match as England rounded out a series whitewash.
England begin their World T20 campaign against West Indies on March 16 in Mumbai.
