Thunder beat Pelicans in emotional match, Bucks down Wizards

The Oklahoma City Thunder were too good for the New Orleans Pelicans 121-95 on an emotional night in the NBA on Thursday.

Oklahoma City and New Orleans squared off after Thunder assistant and former Pelicans head coach Monty Williams' wife died on Wednesday following a fatal car crash.

Thunder star Kevin Durant was in tears pre-game and Russell Westbrook did his best to pay tribute by almost posting a triple-double in Oklahoma City.

On the final day of action before the weekend's All-Star event in Toronto, Westbrook scored 23 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds as the Thunder won for the 14th time in 16 outings.

Durant chipped in with 23 points.

The Pelicans were led by Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday, who had 23 points apiece.

Khris Middleton starred as the Milwaukee Bucks downed the Washington Wizards 99-92.

Middleton registered 27 points with 14 of those coming in the final quarter, while Giannis Antetokounmpo put up 17 points and 13 rebounds in a double-double performance in Milwaukee.

Bradley Beal had 19 points for the Wizards, who managed to get within three points with just over a minute remaining.
