The uncapped Pawan Negi and seamer Mohammed Shami have been named in the India squad for the World Twenty20 and the Asia Cup.
Shami has not played for his country since facing Australia in the World Cup last year due to injuries, but the 25-year-old has been given the nod for the Asia Cup in Bangladesh and the World T20 on home soil despite not yet being fully fit.
Negi was given his first call-up for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka and the left-arm spinner has also secured a place in the 15-man squad for the two tournaments that follow.
There was no place for Manish Pandey despite his one-day international century against Australia last month, as Ajinkya Rahane was preferred.
Seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar also missed out on a spot in the squad.
The Asia Cup gets underway on February 19, with the World T20 starting on March 8.
