Clinical Lewis breezes past Dekker
Adrian Lewis is through to the next round of the 2016 PDC World Championship after a comfortable 3-0 win over Jan Dekker on Wednesday.
The two-time winner and world number five is among the favourites for this year's title and was in superb form at London's Alexandra Palace, sealing a comprehensive victory with a 164 checkout.
Gerwyn Price put up a fight but went down 3-0 to Andrew Gilding in the day's first match.
Gilding was clinical throughout, booking his place in round two with a 70 checkout in the third set.
World youth champion Max Hopp suffered from nerves early on and he was unable to recover as he fell 3-1 to Benito van de Pas.
Hopp fell two legs behind but landed double ten, took out 61 and pinned double eight to pull a set back, but Van de Pas' second 180 helped him move ahead before he completed the win on tops in set four.
The last game of the night was one of the best displays from the first round, with Jelle Klaasen knocking out Joe Cullen with a dominant 3-0 win.
The next round of matches take place on Boxing Day.
