India have added uncapped all-rounder Gurkeerat Singh to their squad ahead of the second Test with South Africa in Bangalore.
The hosts won a low-scoring encounter in Mohali by 108 runs last week to move 1-0 up in their four-match series with the team that tops the International Cricket Council Test rankings.
And despite calling up 16 players ahead of the first Test, the Board of Control for Cricket in India have now opted to bring in another in Gurkeerat.
The 25-year-old, a batsman who bowls off-spin, has yet to represent his country, but was part of India's squad for last month's ODIs against South Africa.
Vernon Philander provided the Proteas with an injury scare on Thursday when he injured his left ankle in a training session.
The second Test starts on Saturday.
