Bath have strengthened their back row following the departure of Sam Burgess by signing Scotland star David Denton from Pro12 side Edinburgh.
Burgess ended a 12-month stay in rugby union by re-signing for NRL side South Sydney Rabbitohs last week.
His return to rugby league left Premiership club Bath with a gap at flanker.
Denton has 32 caps for his country and was a part of the side that suffered an agonising one-point loss to Australia in the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals.
"We've been looking to bolster our back row for some time now so we're very excited that David is joining us," Bath head coach Mike Ford told the club's official website.
"He had an excellent World Cup, especially in the quarter-final when he managed to outshine one of the best Australian back rows I've seen for a long time.
"He's going to fit in very well with the team and the way we play here."
