Cats may be moody sometimes, but they love their family and friends just as unconditionally as dogs do. Whether they show their love through affection, gift-giving, or even play can differ from cat to cat, but every now and then there's a heartwarming cat story that has it all.

Look no further than Little White Baby and his mama! These Sphynx cats are already as cute as can be, but their owner--who is also the owner of Silky Smooth Sphynx Cats--knew their family wasn't quite complete. So when she heard about an orphaned kitten who needed a family, she wasted no time picking him up!

She gave a little update on the family on May 1, and things are going even better for the mama and kittens than anyone could imagine.

OMG--what an adorable little baby! This precious newborn kitten is only two weeks old, so he'll have the rest of his life to grow up knowing the love of a family. If only this foster kitten knew just how special he already is! Not only is he going to be the perfect bestie for Little White Baby, but he's also making thousands of people smile simply by existing.

"This is so wonderful for both of them," said commenter @dr_coffee. "Bottle-feeding fosters is exhausting, & having a mama & sibling will make such a difference." It's true--this adoption made everyone's lives better! Baby brother Marvin now has a mama to care for him and a kitten sibling to learn social cues with, while Little White Baby gets a playmate, companion, and lifelong friend.

Plenty of people commented on the silly but adorable clip in the video where the cat owner rubs the two kittens together. What's up with that? As it turns out, this helps to get the Sphynx kitten's scent on the tabby baby so that mama cat accepts him as her own. If he smells like he's hers, he must be hers!

Kittens Learn From Their Siblings

While most kittens find their forever homes and begin to lead individual lives at around eight weeks old, a lot of essential learning and socialization happens before this age. This is one reason why it's so beneficial to keep kittens with their mother until they are weaned.

As they grow up together, kittens learn social cues and how to play. Siblings' reactions can help kittens learn not to bite or scratch, and having Mom around to give corrections always gets the point across. Kittens can absolutely learn to be polite young cats without the presence of siblings, but this is how they naturally learn to interact.

Now that Marvin, the tabby cat, has joined the family, Little White Baby will have the purrfect brother to grow up with. Not only will it be great for their social skills, but it will be adorable, too!
