Rylan called a double for Conchita Wurst as he reveals new hairstyle

Rylan has been compared to former Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst as he showed off a new hair do on social media.

The 34-year-old TV presenter is on holiday in Italy with Rob Rinder where they are filming a new travel show together.

Rylan shared pictures of himself on Instagram in Venice sporting shoulder-length highlighted hair, along with false eyelashes and his thick dark beard.

Followers quickly drew comparisons between the former Big Brother presenter and Austrian drag queen Conchita Wurst, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014 with the song Rise Like A Phoenix.

Many commented on the similarities between the pair, with one writing: "@rylan you look like the sister of @conchitawurst."

But other followers thought Rylan reminded them of another Eurovision star with his new long hairdo - the UK's Sam Ryder.

One wrote: "Practically the twin of Sam Ryder."

Several other compared the look to that of Hollywood actor Jared Leto.

While some compared his makeover to Jesus.

The TV star not revealed why he is sporting the lengthy locks.

Rylan and Rinder are travelling Europe as part of their new BBC travel show Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour.

Rylan said: "We're not going to be your typical Brits abroad though, as we properly immerse ourselves in all of Italy's cultural offerings. Rob will be teaching me all about Italian history and art as we follow in the footsteps of the cultural greats, while I show Rob how to dance on bars."

Rinder added: "Italy is so rich in art and culture and I can't wait to get stuck in, seeing some of the finest things the country has to offer. The Grand Tour is iconic, especially as we'll be following in the footsteps of some of history’s biggest cultural contributors."
