What did you miss?

Richard Madeley has said new ITV reality show Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters "could go very wrong".

To coincide with the 50th anniversary of Jaws, stars will swim with sharks in a new reality series that will be filmed in Bimini - the Bahamas island that is home to different sharks including Hammerheads, Bull sharks and Tiger sharks.

During Good Morning Britain, Madeley and Susanna Reid recoiled in horror as they discussed the terrifying new reality series set to take our screens by storm. Reid had no qualms admitting she was frightened of the idea. She said: "[Jaws] made us all terrified to be in the bath. Let alone, go into the sea! And ITV's going to do a show where it's called Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters."

Explaining the show's premise, Madeley added: "You literally throw UK big names into the sea to swim with real sharks with big teeth. This is a real reality show. It's like something out of a futuristic novel. It could go very wrong."

Quickly Reid ruled herself out of taking part on the reality series. She quipped: "I'll tell you what, I won't be doing it! You could not pay me to swim with sharks. I presume there will be some sort of cage involved at some stage?"

Madeley was just horrified and insisted that things do go "wrong" on television. He said: "I don't know but we all know about TV things go wrong on TV."

Reid harked back to when Madeley was rushed to hospital after the Bushtucker trial went wrong on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here. She said: "You've had an experience that went wrong."

Briefly forgetting, Madeley had to ask what show it was that Reid was referring to. He asked her: "Did I? What was it?" Reid reminded him of the experience on I'm A Celebrity. She added: "And you got poorly."

Madeley agreed: "I was extremely poorly." Teasing, Reid asked him if he had "erased" the show from his mind completely. To which he responded: "There was a lot of things that went wrong on that show. That was the ultimate thing! There is a limit to how much control you can have."

Reid interrupted to say "over sharks" and Madeley speculated that "cages break, metal fails". However, Madeley confessed he "can't wait" for the show but that doesn't mean he would star on the show. Asked if he would consider it, he quipped: "You must be joking!"
