Rescuer's Precious Moment With 'Window Horse' Proves Love Changes Everything

There's an endless number of ways to show animals the love they deserve, especially if they've recently been rescued. A gesture as small as a scratch behind the ears can be the turning point that helps an animal feel safe, but as they get more comfortable in their new environment, there will be so many more moments of love and fun. Just ask Hogan the horse!

This huge rescue horse used to work day in and day out for over 20 years, and the poor guy was in rough shape by the time he was rescued by Angel. She's a dedicated equestrian and horse foster mom who helps these animals feel their best after enduring hard times, and the love she shows the horses makes a world of difference.

On March 28, Angel and Hogan gave their TikTok fans a preview into their favorite nightly routine: watching the news.  This is usually a mundane but informational thing to do, but having a 'window horse' to share snacks with makes it so much more fun!

LOL! This is definitely the first time I've ever seen a window horse, and I must say, I'm a big fan. Hogan is the perfect size to peek in through the window, and I can only imagine Angel's reaction when he did that for the very first time. If that were my curious horse, I'd be cracking up!

"It seems so natural to see Hogans's big head inside your window watching TV with you," said commenter @kathy3957. "He sure loves you. Angel, I can never thank you enough for saving him. He’s come so far." He's the perfect example of how animal rescue can give a horse a whole new lease on life! When he first arrived at Angel's home, Hogan was 'thrown away, emaciated, in pain, and sick,' but now, he's one beloved four-legged friend.

Horse Rescue Is a Whole Commitment

This 'old man' horse makes his mama laugh and smile every day, and it's easy to see what makes Hogan so special. Even so, what TikTok viewers don't see is all the work both of them have put toward Hogan's healing. Sometimes, Angel gives sneak peeks into her foster horses' journeys, but just a few years ago, it was Hogan being rehabilitated in the barn.

Although it's many folks' dreams to own a horse one day, it's worth knowing just how much work goes into their care. Not only do you need to have a place for them to stay warm and dry, but you also need to keep them fed, hydrated, clean, and groomed. And that's just the basics!

Needless to say, Angel has put in a lot of time, effort, money, and love toward Hogan's well-being...and it looks like it's been so worth it. The bond this horse and owner have is as sweet as can be, and that's not just because of his nightly graham cracker treats!
