Taylor Swift has ushered in her latest era with The Tortured Poets Department.

She first announced the album at the 2024 Grammys in February. That same evening she posted its cover, its first bonus track, “The Manuscript,” and its April 19 release date on Instagram.

The year 2024 has already proved to be a big one for the pop star. At the Grammy Awards she made history as the first artist to win Album of the Year four times. She took the “Eras Tour” — which also happens to be the highest-grossing tour of all time — overseas to Japan, Australia and Singapore.

Swift also celebrated the debut of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version), the tour’s concert film, on Disney+, and it's now the platform’s most-watched music film ever. With The Tortured Poets Department release around the corner, Swift is about to kick into high gear.
