The Duchess of Sussex has in the past spoken about her love of meditation and it seems husband Harry is following suit.

During a visit to Birkenhead, Merseyside, Prince Harry revealed that he meditates daily.

The dad-to-be reportedly spoke to a 69-year-old Buddhist monk named Kelsang Sonam, who gave Harry a copy of a book entitled “8 Steps to Happiness”, after the prince told him he meditates every day.

It comes after Prince Charles‘ charity provided funding for yoga, meditation, and “breath-focused stretches” for young prisoners, in a bid to help restore “hope and positivity” behind bars.

According to the Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation’s annual report for 2018, the charity last year handed a “small grant” to the Prison Phoenix Trust, which “encourages prisoners in the development of their spiritual welfare, through the practices of meditation and yoga, working with silence and the breath”.

Meghan and Harry had a busy day of engagements in Birkenhead, visiting a charity for vulnerable women, a community supermarket and cafe to help less fortunate families and a local youth project.

The Duchess also let slip to well-wishers that she is around six months pregnant and is due to give birth at the end of April or beginning of May.

The couple will attend the premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s Totem on Wednesday night, in support of Sentebale.
