Precious Spaniel Parents Share the Sweetest Reason For Taking Their Pup On Vacation
Our busy lives make it so hard to appreciate the little things. That's exactly why two people decided to bring their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with them on vacation. And they just might be onto something here.
Maggie and her husband decided to bring their pup Basil with them on their recent trip. It might seem weird, but to the couple it made total sense.
The two didn't go anywhere without their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel while in Key Largo, Florida. If they went into the water at the beach, their dog went into the water. If they went for a walk along the sand, so did their pup.

Some people might think this is sort of out there. Isn't the point of going away to get away from it all? Well not to them. In fact, their dog made the trip so much better.
"Bringing your dog might slow you down, but maybe that's the point," they explained in the text overlay.
That really makes sense to us. And people in the comments section really loved the idea too. "This is beautiful. We take Ace with us on every trip too. It's the best," wrote one dog owner. "They need a lil vacation sometimes too. They like gettin' outta the house," one commenter agreed. "This is so cute," someone else gushed.
Dog Friendly Vacation Spots
If you're trying to sneak in one last vacation before the summer ends, we don't blame you. Here are some places where you can bring your dog along for the fun:
If you're looking for a quaint little trip to the east coast, Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania is a great trip. Not only does Jim Thorpe show amazing views of the Pocono Mountains. It's also one of the most dog-friendly vacation spots in the country.
Bar Harbor, Maine is another east coast town that's super fun. The town is small, only 5,500 people, but that really adds to the charm. It's also a great place to hike or you could take a walk through Acadia National Park.
If the west coast is more your style, San Diego, California is a great trip. There are tons of places that accommodate dogs, like beaches and off-leash parks in SoCal city. Fiesta Island in Mission Bay or Marley Field Dog Park in Balboa Park are great spots to bring your fur-baby too.
A trip to Chicago, Illinois is so fun. The city is certainly exciting for humans, and dogs will like walks along Lake Michigan and Navy Pier.
Traveling with pets might seem daunting, but it really can be the best.
