A suspected fraudster who sold £100 boxes of organic vegetables that were full of supermarket products is wanted by police, it has been reported.

Mark Bullen, 52, is wanted by Kent Police over a series of fraud offences, while police in Scotland also want to track him down, according to the MailOnline.

It said Bullen offered "organic" fruit and veg boxes from a "family farm" using Facebook adverts, only for customers to find the produce was sourced from local supermarkets such as Tesco, Lidl and Aldi.

Other victims paid more than £100 for food boxes that never arrived, it reported.

The MailOnline said Bullen uses a number of different aliases, including female pseudonyms, to avoid detection.

It said Bullen targeted victims in Kent, Sussex and in Edinburgh.

A former delivery driver for Bullen in Edinburgh told the MailOnline he had taken over his ex-boss's Facebook groups to expose the fraud.

The man, who wished to remain anonymous, told the MailOnline: "He [Bullen] used various male and female names to try to trade his fruit and vegetables.

"Basically, he bought groceries from Tesco and I delivered them around Edinburgh."

Bullen is on Kent Police's most wanted list.

Last month, the force issued a statement, saying: "Mark Bullen is wanted after failing to appear before court in connection with several fraud offences at hotels, including in Tunbridge Wells.

"If you know where he is call 999, quoting warrant reference 46/11411/22."

A spokesperson for Kent Police told Yahoo News UK that Bullen "remains wanted on suspicion of fraud offences".

Sussex Police told Yahoo News UK that Bullen is "not currently wanted for arrest" by the force.

Yahoo News UK has approached Police Scotland for comment.
