It was a Sunday stroll for England as their qualified for the last 16 by knocking six past Panama.

Harry Kane will again grab the headlines after his hat-trick but there were plenty of other impressive Lions on display.

My ball: Jordan Pickford could do little about Panama’s goal

Jordan Pickford 6

He’s still waiting for something to do two games in. Belgium will provide it, surely.

Kieran Trippier 7

His set-pieces are beginning to excite. Ask John Stones. Right wing-back position now his own.

Kyle Walker 7

Not a day for the England defenders to shine, but his early interception could have saved a goal and that will give him a confidence boost.

John Stones 9

Two goals and he looks like he is loving life at the moment. Panama didn’t have a clue what to do with him from corners.

Harry Maguire 6

Took a few whacks as the embarrassing first-half Panama tactics backfired. Then played them onside for their consolation.

Ashley Young 6

You still want a little bit more from him. In second gear, and Panama had too much joy down England’s left.

Jordan Henderson 7

Another industrious showing and nearly grabbed his first ever England goal.

Jesse Lingard 8

What a goal and what a performance. Will still think he has more to offer than we’ve seen so far.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek 7

A driving force and showed why he was selected. Plenty of endeavour, but has he done enough to oust Alli?

Raheem Sterling 6

Again more questions than answers. You can’t debate the faith the manager has in him but a non-striking striker can’t continue to warrant a starting place.

Harry Kane 8

No footballer will ever get an easier hat-trick. Two penalties and a third he look ashamed to claim. Five goals inside 150 minutes.

Substitutes:

Jamie Vardy 5 (on for Kane 63)

Missed opportunity. Didn’t really get a sniff when introduced.

Fabian Delph 6 (on for Lingard 63)

Game was long over when he came on but showed some neat touches.

Danny Rose 5 (On for Trippier 68)

Not close enough to Baloy for Panama’s goal
