Piers Morgan reignites Twitter spat with Dan Walker, calling him 'world’s most boring interviewer'

Piers Morgan has reignited his feud with old rival Dan Walker, calling him the 'world’s most boring interviewer'.

The pair butted heads for years over their shows Good Morning Britain and BBC Breakfast and who was beating who in the ratings.

And it seemed old habits die hard as Morgan — who left GMB last year and now has his own show on TalkTV — took a swipe at Walker on Twitter.

He piped up after Walker shared a clip of him talking to RMT Union General Secretary Mick Lynch for Channel 5, where he now works.

“If you treat people with respect, you can still ask tough questions & get decent answers allowing your audience to make their own minds up,” he wrote.

But Morgan, 57, remarked: “Is there anyone more deluded in world television than Desperate Dan.. the world’s most boring interviewer.”

Walker then replied: "Why is it ‘boring’ to let someone actually speak rather than shouting over them all the time?"

Morgan snapped back: "Mate, I had to leave GMB for being too exciting/dangerous.

"You had to leave the BBC because even by their standards you’re a mood-hoovering dullard. But your pompous lectures on how to do interviews are bloody funny, I’ll give you that."

However, Walker then shared a clip of Morgan storming off GMB amid the Meghan Markle row.

"You left GMB because one of your colleagues called you out," he said.

"Your ‘exciting/dangerous’ response to that was (arrows pointing to the clip).

"Next time I promise to spend at least 5 minutes on Thunderbirds," he said, apparently referring to the fact that when Morgan interviewed Lynch he quizzed him about having a Thunderbirds image as his Facebook picture.

Morgan and Walker, 45, have traded barbs online many times, criticising and teasing each other over whose show was getting more viewers.

However, Walker did speak up for Morgan following his GMB exit, saying: “He likes to throw a few insults around, but underneath all the froth I think there is a decent bloke fighting to get out."
