Piers Morgan calls Prince Harry a 'sanctimonious, virtue-signalling hypocrite' in show promo

Piers Morgan has branded Prince Harry a 'po-faced, sanctimonious, virtue-signalling hypocrite' in a new clip ahead of his TV series Uncensored.

The presenter has vowed to cancel 'cancel culture' and 'annoy all the right people' in Piers Morgan Uncensored, which will air on new global channel talkTV from Rupert Murdoch's News Corp.

A new clip shared on his Twitter account – captioned “He really is back. Piers on Prince Harry” — shows the star laying into Harry and Meghan Markle.

He said: “Well I like the old Prince Harry, you know the one who used to get drunk and play naked billiards in Vegas.

“He was a lot more fun than this po-faced, sanctimonious, virtue-signalling, hypocrite who just thinks it’s perfectly OK to quit the country, quit the Royal Family and then make all these demands from his California mansion about all the stuff he still thinks he’s entitled to.

"He and his wife are making hundreds of millions of dollars out of fleecing titles bestowed on them by an institution they keep trashing in public."

"I think it's a sickening thing that they're doing," he went on.

"I think it's horrible for the Queen and I wish they would stop."

Morgan has never been shy when it comes to sharing his thoughts on the royals.

The presenter quit Good Morning Britain last year after refusing to apologise for saying he didn’t believe some of the things the Duchess of Sussex said in her sensational interview with US chat show host Oprah Winfrey.

His remarks sparked more than 57,000 complaints but he was later cleared by broadcasting watchdog Ofcom.

Earlier this week, Morgan said he was “delighted” to be returning to live television with a new daily show “whose main purpose is to cancel the cancel culture which has infected societies around the world”.

The 56-year-old star said that he wanted the programme to be a platform for “lively vigorous debate, news-making interviews, and that increasingly taboo three-letter word: fun”.
