Oil barrel suddenly explodes in Chinese man's face as he attempts to cut it open

Dramatic CCTV footage captured in China shows an oil barrel exploding abruptly as a man attempts to cut its lid open.

The video shows the barrel being launched high into the sky, before crashing down onto a road.

Fortunately, the man suffered only minor injuries and there was no damage to any vehicles.
