Norfolk Terrier's Excitement Over Bath Time Is Too Cute to Resist

You know how it's impossible to get your dog in the tub for bath time? Yeah that's not Miso's problem. It's probably safe to say the dog is always ready for a tub, as can be seen in a hilarious video his mama shared online.

Where's the bubble bath?! That's probably what the pup was thinking in the clip his mama shared.

The Norfolk Terrier went from chill to excited in seconds after his mama asked him if he was ready for a tub.

"Bath time?" the woman asked from behind the camera. And right away Miso jumped up and headed for the bathroom.

Come on, Mom. What's the hold up?!

Miso was so excited. His little tail was wagging and wagging as the water ran.

We don't need to repeat how truly rare it is to have a dog that likes the water. Many dogs simply hate it. So of course people in the comments section were obsessed with Miso's adorable reaction to getting clean. "Miso: 'I need this. Today drained me,'" joked one commenter. "So cute. My dog hates her bath," another person added. "My dog runs the other way," chimed in someone else. "It's a miso soup!!!!!" kidded another person.

Why Dogs Hate Water

It doesn't make much sense does it. Your dog will roll around in dirt all day, but ask them to take one measly bath and they throw a fit! Why do dogs have water so much?

It should be noted that not all dogs hate water, but there are many that do. For many dogs, it's not an irrational hate. They're actually afraid of the water and get scared when they have to be submerged. The reason for this is that water feels different to a dog. To them, it feels really weird under their paws and on their fur. Or your dog might have had a traumatic experience in the water and now can't stand the thought of being near it.

In either case, it can be hard to know what to do, so take things slow. Get your dog used to wearing a leash in the house. Then take them into the bathroom for some playtime so they can get used to the space.

Once your dog gets comfortable, get them to sit on a non-slip mat in your tub. This part could take some time. The point is to get your dog acclimated with the environment. Turn on the faucet so that your dog can get used to the noise of a running bath. Eventually you'll be able to fill the tub with your dog in it.

Again, it'll take time and some dogs might never truly embrace getting wet. But with a little patience it could happen. Your dog will be sprinting for the bath, just like Miso.
