Xbox Game Pass free games for May 2024
Xbox has announced the free Game Pass games available to subscribers in the first half of May 2024.
The big game in this wave is the Day One release of Little Kitty, Big City (cloud, console, PC), on May 9. This open-world game casts players as a cute 'lil feline and tasks them with making friends, causing chaos, exploring the city, and wearing hats.
Digital Spy will have a review of this one going up around the time of release, so keep an eye out for that one.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (cloud, console, PC) returns to Game Pass on May 2. This 2013 title is the first entry in the reboot trilogy and sees Lara Croft wash up on a dangerous island where she must learn to survive or be killed.
Kona II: Brume (cloud, console, PC) follows on May 7. Set in a rural mining village in 1970s Canada that has been beset by a strange mist. Reviews have stated that, while not necessarily horror, this puzzle-adventure title is a very intense play.
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (cloud, console, PC) also returns to Game Pass on May 14. This highly-acclaimed title from the director of It Takes Two gives players two characters to control, one per analog stick, in order to get around and solve puzzles. The story, in particular, has often been praised for making an emotional impact without much dialogue.
It should be noted that this isn't the remake that released earlier this year.

A cheap way to get Game Pass is by buying a subscription from CDKeys, as this is discounted compared to the prices you pay directly from the Xbox Store.
