A man has been charged with kidnap after a woman was seen on doorbell camera screaming, “Please help me” before being dragged off a porch and bundled into a pickup truck.

The attack took place in Hillsboro, Oregon, at around 11pm on Sunday night, according to police. After being captured on camera, the bearded man bundled the woman into the vehicle and drove away.

The homeowners sounded the alarm, and police were able to track down the victim, who has not been named.

Police did not say where or when the woman was found.

It’s thought that the two people involved were known to each other before the kidnapping, police said, without specifying the relationship between them.

“The suspect and victim knew each other and this was not a random attack,” officials said in a news release. “There is no danger to the public.”

The woman who lived at the residence with the doorbell camera told KGW8 that she didn’t know either of the people involved.

“She looked scared”, the woman, who identified herself as Marisol, said. “In her voice, you could tell she was frantic, and she needed help, and the way she grabbed onto the door in the video when you see it, that is like, not normal.”

Authorities thanked members of the community for helping them identify and locate the victim.
