Woman missing after pony ride is found safe and well following 48-hour search
A missing woman who sparked a 48-hour search after going missing while out riding her pony has been found safe and well.
Amanda Hull, 38, sparked a huge search operation when she failed to return home in Droitwich, Worcestershire, on Saturday morning.
Family members feared the worst when they found her pony Sunny back in his field and Ms Hull's bag discarded nearby.
Members of the community went out in search parties as police scoured local woodland and drones were also deployed in a bid to find her.
Her mother also issued a plea for information after insisting there was "no reason for her to go missing".
But West Mercia Police confirmed on Monday afternoon that Ms Hull has since been found safe and well.
A force spokesperson said: "We are happy to confirm that Amanda Hull has been found safe and well and her family has been informed.
"We would like to say a huge thank you to the community of Droitwich and everyone who shared our appeal.
"There was a huge amount of support from people during this search and we are extremely grateful."
Ms Hull's sister's partner Matt Nicol shared the good news on Facebook and thanked the community for their help.
He wrote: "Amanda has been FOUND - thank you so much to everyone that helped."
