    This affordable, four-star hotel was thrust in the limelight in 1985 when E. M. Forster's A Room With A View was adapted into a film.   • Film: Octopussy

    This unique hotel became a memorable Bond location in the 1983 film Octopussy when it featured heavily as the secluded retreat of Bond girl, Octopussy, played by actress Maud Adams. The hotel was shot as her palace throughout the many scenes of Udaipur and the film was later praised for its use of elegant locations in India.
