  • Comedian Roy Hudd holds his OBE for services to entertainment, at Buckingham Palace, London. Born in Croydon, Surrey, in 1936, Hudd started out as a Red Coat at Clacton on the Essex coast, alongside Harry Webb who later found fame and fortune as Cliff Richard.
