  • "A special technique used for fishing in UAE, Fujairah, called 'dhagwa'. The net consists of two parts: the red part, where fish are trying to escape, and an open part near the coast where they collect the fish. The white dots are birds waiting to collect some fish."

  • On June 4, 2011, the Cordon Caulle eruption began in the region of Los Rios, Chile. It lasted about 12 months, affecting people an animals who became accustomed to living with the daily fall of ash. The ash caused problems with air traffic in south America: during the first days of the eruption, it could be seen from hundreds of miles away, with explosions and thunderstorms from the expulsion of lava. This photo was taken on the second night of the eruptin, form the town of Lago Ranco.
