  • Rupert Murdoch recently spent a whopping $57.25 million (£34.38m) on a Manhattan apartment.
  • The Media mogul bought the top four floors of One Madison, which spans 10,160 square feet and includes the triplex penthouse and the full-floor residence below. 

  • The 60 storey building is located in downtown Manhattan, near Madison Square Park. 

  • At the moment the penthouse and the apartment below are two separate homes but Murdoch has bought both of them with the intention of joining them together. 

  • The end result will have 8 bedrooms and at least 6 bathrooms.
