Meet the folks at car meets along with their beautiful rides
  • Only in Italy would supercars, motorbikes and cyclists all rock up in this annual event which takes place in Morfaso, every September. Pictured here with his pride and joy is Martin, who describes the rush and adrenaline as the reason for taking a big interest in cars and bikes at the age of 13 - and his dream car? The Lamborghini Aventador.

  • The rarest cars in the world are annually displayed in the grounds of Windsor Castle in a classic event that oozes prestige. Keith (pictured) recalls the feeling of freedom that first got him into cars. And he also revealed what it is like to be involved in a motoring community. "It’s wonderfully eccentric. Individuals of all types, with different aspects to their automotive passions, makes for fascinating ad-hoc socialising and ongoing friendships," he concludes.
  • Over 35 car clubs meet up at the National Motor Museum in Hampshire, England, to celebrate the modded-Japanese car scene. Among those attending was Ben (pictured here with presenter Sam), along with his pride and joy, a Celica GT. Talking about the Japanese motoring, Ben reveals: "The culture and diversity in Japan is amazing when it comes to cars. It doesn't even matter what car you drive as they respect each other just because they can see it's your hobby and you're passionate about it."
  • For 30 years, Goodguys have hosted an American car meet featuring hot rods and muscle cars among a host of others. Bill (pictured) grew up in California and was 14 when he was bought his first car - a 1938 Oldsmobile Business Coupe, with no rear seat. These days, Bill loves the 'camaraderie' of meeting up over a love of cars and is a member of the Danville Dukes, who meet at breakfast on Saturday mornings and talk about the cars they are building.
  • The Hot Rides are an all-female biker group started up on Facebook, and now self-proclaimed friends for life. They even attended a member’s wedding recently en masse. With dreams of biking the entire length of Morocco and Normandy, France, these US girls exemplify the lure of motorcycles (especially vintage models) and hanging with your crew.

  • Los Angeles’s nickname of The Entertainment Capital of the World is well-earned, not least thanks to ‘king of low riders’ Sam. This car enthusiast grew up around these cool, customised vehicles, known for their bling and ability to hop up on two back wheels, and now hosts the Torres Empire – the biggest get-together for low riders anywhere in the world. Unsurprisingly given the community spirit involved in such meets, the event is described by Sam as part-car show, part-family meeting.
