Nothing announces the arrival of spring more than a baby lamb. Take the family to visit newborn lambs throughout March at Marsh Farm, Woodham Ferrers, Essex and if you are lucky you may even see one being born. There's a nice tea-room to enjoy too. In April there will also be newborn chicks and rabbits and from March 29 to April 12, children can join in their Easter Eggstravaganza and hunt easter bunnies to win a chocolate prize. Don't miss the bulbs at Clovelly Court Gardens, North Devon, which features masses of tulips as well as snowdrops and daffodills. The woodland walk is lined with rhodedendrons and magnolias and elsewhere in the grounds, peach and magnolias are in blossom. Visitors can take home spring vegetables from the Victorian Kitchen Garden and take part in the village fudge hunt from March 29 to April 7. One of the best spots to see these beautiful flowers is at Ashridge, Hertfordshire, where you'll find a 1.5 mile marked woodland trail has a stunning display of bluebells. They're at their best in April and May beneath the bright-green beech canopy. Red kites can often be seen and you can pick up an I-Spy leaflet from the Visitors' Centre.
