Mark Christopher, an entrepreneur who made a fortune from selling the West Cornwall Pasty Company he co-founded in 1998, has put his Notting Hill home on the market.
- Christopher and his business partners reportedly sold the company to a private equity firm for a figure between £30 million and £40 million.
- Christopher then bought his Notting Hill property. At the time it was split into two maisonettes but with a lot of work, he transformed it into a chic three bedroom home arranged over five floors- complete with a roof terrace, extension and glass walls.
The back wall on two floors has been removed and replaced with glass, flooding the modern interior with light.
The trendy home, located on Sutherland Place just off Westbourne Grove, was designed as a frame for Christopher's modern art collection.
The property is currently on the market for £6 million. It's a major price tag for a three-bedroom property, and it puts it around the top of the price bracket for this size of property in this part of Notting Hill.
The property features a luxuriously comfortable home cinema with plush plum sofas.
The ultra modern master bedroom is spread across the entire top floor.
The all white master bedroom suite features a bath and fireplace at the end of the bed and a very satisfactory wardrobe and bathroom arrangement.
A spiral staircase leads from the bedroom to a mezzaine-level study, and a huge sliding glass wall which opens to the private roof terrace.
