  • Fonab Castle Hotel can be found on the banks of Loch Faskally in the heart of Perthshire. The castle, which still retains many of its original features, is now a 26 bedroom hotel and has been voted the best castle-hotel in Europe by Tripadvisor reviewers.
  • Castle Hotel Auf Schoenburg in Germany dates back as far as 911 and is situated in the Rhine valley town of Oberwesel. The castle was burned down by French soldiers and left in ruins until 1914 but the eye-catching castle is now home to a 22 guestroom hotel.
