Police searching for missing toddler snatched from home in middle of night

Police are searching for a toddler who was taken from his home in the early hours of the morning.

Andrew Junior Leighton, aged two, was snatched from the property in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire, at 1.25am on Sunday morning.

Andrew is thought to have been taken by his father.

He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt with "surf legend" written on the front and was wearing a nappy.

Police believe Andrew and his father are travelling in a silver Ford Focus with the registration ending 'ANF'

They may be heading towards the Reading area, police said.

Inspector Angela Murray said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have seen Andrew or knows where he is to please come forward.

"We believe Andrew is with his father and would urge him to make contact with police."

Anyone with information should call Thames Valley Police on 101.
