Police launch urgent hunt for mum missing with her four children

Police have launched an urgent appeal to help find a mother who has gone missing with her four young children in South Wales.

The woman, known only as Jemma, aged 33, was reported missing from Merthyr Tydfil on Monday, along with her children Christopher, 11, Julian, 9, Maddison, 7, and Stephen, 3.

South Wales Police said: "#HELPUSFIND Jemma and her four children.

"We are appealing for information concerning the whereabouts of Jemma Jones and her four children, who are believed to be with her.

"Jemma, aged 33, Christopher, aged 11, Julian, aged 9, Maddison, aged 7 and Stephen, aged 3, from #MerthyrTydfil, were reported missing yesterday.

"Anyone who may have seen the family or has information is asked to contact us quoting occurrence number 2200239755."

The appeal, which was launched in the early hours of Tuesday morning, had already been shared more than 1,000 times of Facebook.
