Ex-vicar fined for carrying out sex act on a Henry Hoover
A former vicar has been fined after he was caught carrying out a sex act on a Henry Hoover in a Baptist church.
John Jeffs, 74, was naked apart from wearing a pair of ladies stockings when he was seen "thrusting" into the vacuum cleaner's nozzle, a court heard.
He was caught by a shocked churchgoer who saw him commit the act in his office at the Baptist Centre in the village of Middleton Cheney, Northamptonshire, in September 2020.
Jeffs was working as a pastoral manager at the Christian faith-based group, Parents Taking Asperger's.
Northampton Magistrates' Court heard on Wednesday that Jeffs noticed the member of the public who caught him but carried on with the act, later telling police he did it because he felt "naughty".

The court heard he was “standing between two dark chairs, thrusting into a Henry Hoover”.
Jeffs, from Middleton Cheney, was found guilty of indecent exposure.
He was given an 18-month community order and ordered to sign the sex offenders register.
He was also ordered to pay £845 in court costs and £200 in compensation to the victim who witnessed the sex act.
The defence solicitor said that Jeffs was still coming to terms with the loss of his wife at a young age and was in “a lot of pain” because he was ignoring his health and his diabetes was not medicated.
The magistrate said: “Why you thought it best to bring this matter to trial, I have no idea.”
