Watch: Moment Range Rover flips and crashes into Audi and BMW

This dramatic footage shows the moment a Range Rover flipped onto its side after hitting three other cars and nearly colliding with a pedestrian.

Footage of the rush-hour crash showed the 4x4 veering into a busy lane of traffic in Rotton Park, Birmingham, and ploughing into fellow motorists.

The vehicle hit the front of a stationary Audi, sending it backwards onto a pavement and into the path of a pedestrian, who was forced to dive out of the way.

The Range Rover then flipped into the air before landing on its side in the middle of the road, then sliding into a two BMWs - one that was waiting in traffic on City Road and another that was parked.

Surveillance cameras captured the scenes as drivers and locals ran to check on the motorist trapped inside the Range Rover after the crash, which happened at around 5.45pm on Wednesday (17 August).

Miraculously, no one was said to have been seriously injured in the horror crash, which left the major thoroughfare closed as emergency services cleared up debris.

Asad Khan, a lawyer who owns one of the BMWs that was hit by the Range Rover, told Birmingham Live he had only just got out of his vehicle moments before the collision.

He said: "I had just parked up and heard a very loud noise, like a crash of sorts.

"I went straight back up and I saw a car that had spun onto its roof and perched up against my car.

"There were about two occupants in the 4X4. The police, ambulance and fire came within minutes.

"They cleared the scene and tried to free the trapped occupants. The 4x4 had hit the Audi then the BMW and then my car.

"There was not a lot of damage to my car, just a scuff and knock."

West Midlands Police confirmed that officers were called to the crash involving three cars and nobody was seriously injured.
