Man arrested after woman doused in noxious substance left hospitalised
A man has been arrested after a woman was doused in a noxious substance that left her with potentially life-changing injuries.
The woman in her 20s was attacked in broad daylight in Brighton on Thursday 20 May.
Sussex Police said officers were called to reports of a substance being thrown over the victim in Steine Gardens around 4.20 in the afternoon.
The woman was taken to hospital where she remains with potentially life-changing injuries.
Detectives arrested a 25-year-old man on Saturday on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
He remains in custody, the force said.
