Man arrested after officer 'punched' outside Houses of Parliament

A man was arrested for assault after a police officer was punched outside the Houses of Parliament in London on July 8, the Metropolitan Police said.

Police said the incident happened shortly after 3:30 pm. “The officer was not seriously injured and the incident is not being treated as terrorism,” they said.

This footage shows police responding at the scene.

Witnesses claim the arrested man was shouting that the handcuffs were too tight.
