LBC controversy sees 25,000 fans petition to bring back star
LBC has been swept up in controversy after fans took issue with the radio station’s latest schedule shake-up.
The broadcaster announced on Wednesday (May 1) that one of its presenters, Sangita Myska, will be leaving her role after nearly two years.
Disappointed by the news, over 25,000 people have signed a petition to reinstate the radio host.
Myska usually hosts a weekend afternoon show on the station, broadcasting from 1pm to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

However, fans have noticed she’s been missing from the time slot since April 14.
LBC’s senior managing editor, Tom Cheal, announced Myska’s departure from the station, saying: "We’d like to thank Sangita for her fantastic contribution to LBC and we wish her every success in the future."
The news comes after LBC listeners began speculating online about Myska's recent absence, with some suggesting she appeared to have been taken off-air.
Fans questioned whether Myska's departure was connected to an interview she conducted with an Israeli government spokesperson the day after Iran launched an unprecedented missile and drone attack on Israel.

However, LBC’s parent company Global has not made reference to the interview. In its announcement on Wednesday, it said the line-up changes were "part of a refreshed weekend schedule".
Myska’s exit from the station isn’t the only schedule change confirmed by the broadcaster.
LBC also revealed This Morning star Vanessa Feltz will join the radio station following her departure from TalkTV. She’ll be presenting a new show from 3pm to 6pm every Saturday.
Meanwhile, former Conservative Party parliamentary candidate Ali Miraj will be replacing Myska in the weekend afternoon slot.
