Huge crack in cliff spotted near Beachy Head

A huge crack has formed in a cliff near the popular sightseeing spot Beachy Head in East Sussex, leaving a dangerous hanging edge.

Freelance producer Jay Ryder was walking around the head of the cliff when he spotted the split in the rock.

Jay said: "A few days prior I was up taking photos of BASE jumpers and I just noticed it then.

"I actually went up to take photos of the lighthouse so I just thought I'd go over and look.

"Having seen a lot of people standing on the edge of cliffs it's quite an eye opener of effectively how dangerous it can be."

The crack has been fenced off but members of the public are still able to get close.
