Meghan Markle's friend Gayle King is to host a documentary about the Queen as she continues in her role as a widow.
King, who revealed that talks between Prince Harry and his brother Prince William were "not productive" after their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, will interview the likes of Barack Obama and Sir Paul McCartney in a programme for CBS.
In The Queen Carries On, King will also talk to Lady Anne Glenconner, who was one of the Queen's maids at her coronation, as she looks at how the monarch is continuing after losing her husband of 73 years and after the stepping back of Harry and Meghan.
Obama will tell King: "She is somebody who has seen the sweep of world history. (She) has seen every kind of crisis."
Beatle Sir Paul will reflect on his many meetings with the Queen, calling her "down to earth".
The documentary will span her early years, from her unexpected accession to the throne after the sudden death of her father in 1952, to the death of Prince Philip on 9 April 2021.
It will also cover the death of Diana, with historian Wesley Kerr reflecting on the "horrific" time of her death and how the nation wanted the Queen to lead the mourning.
King will ask experts whether they think Meghan's story had carried echoes of what happened to Diana.
In a trailer, CBS News contributor Tina Brown says: "I think there are a lot of echoes of Diana in what Meghan experienced.
"The Queen was very supportive to Harry when he fell in love with Meghan and so she was very upset when it went wrong."
Asked if the monarchy trumps everything, Brown replied "everything".
Kerr: "It was thought you can't be half in, half out."
King is a friend of Meghan's, who attended her baby shower, and revealed details about the fallout within the Royal Family after the couple had sat down with Winfrey in March.
Harry and Meghan told Winfrey they had felt unsupported by the monarchy when they were senior royals, with Meghan also stating she had felt suicidal and could not get help.
King then went onto tell her viewers on CBS that Meghan had not been contacted by anyone at the palace more than a week after the interview aired.
The Winfrey programme sent shockwaves through the palace and the Queen vowed to look at what happened, but within the family.
Harry returned to the UK in April when he attended the funeral of his grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, but COVID-19 restrictions limited his interaction with family members while he was in Windsor.

He was seen exchanging some words with his brother William and his sister-in-law Kate, in a chat which was said to have broken the ice.
He is next due to be in Britain in July when the statue for his mother, the late Diana, will be unveiled at Kensington Palace.
Meghan is expecting their second child, a daughter, and so it's not known if she will be able to accompany him on that trip.
