EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders' Johnny Carter will be left reeling from a major discovery about his mum Linda next week.
Charlie Suff has taken over the role of Linda's son Johnny, who returned to Walford in Friday's episode (February 9).
Johnny headed back to the Square to help Linda in her time of need, after being contacted by an increasingly worried Elaine.
However, Johnny has been left horrified by the severity of Linda's drinking relapse and is determined to get her back on track.
After attempting to deal with Dean – who Elaine believes is the biggest source of the problem – Johnny will learn some new information about Linda, which changes everything.
As Johnny reels following Linda’s revelation, he is consumed with guilt about not being around for her sooner.
Linda tries to console her son and promises that she’ll stop drinking.
In turn, Johnny assures Linda that he will help her get sober – but it's clear that this could be more challenging than he anticipated.
Later in the week, Johnny finds himself having a tense conversation with Chelsea, after Denise goes missing.
Linda also becomes rattled by Chelsea’s questions and struggles to hide it.
Because of this, Suki begins to fear that The Six's big secret is going to fall apart, and becomes determined to find a way out of it.
Suki insists to Stacey that the women need to rally around Denise and look after her in shifts if that’s what it takes to protect their secret. But what does Johnny know, and what will this mean for them?
