Dozens of sinkholes emerge across Croatia

Around 100 sinkholes have opened up in central Croatia after two earthquakes hit the region in December.

Some holes have emerged under residential houses, forcing the occupants to evacuate.

Sinkholes are not unheard of in the region, but it is extremely rare for so many to appear in such a short period of time.
