Doctor Who star Tanya Fear reported missing in Los Angeles by worried family

Doctor Who actress Tanya Fear has been declared a Missing Person in the US.

The 31-year-old British actress and stand-up comedian - who played Dr. Jade McIntyre in 2018 episode of the BBC sci fi series Arachnids in the UK alongside Time Lord Jodie Whittaker - has not been seen since 9 September in the Hollywood Bowl area of Los Angeles, California.

Fear - also known as Tanyaradzwa Fear or Pauline Fear -has been reported missing by concerned members of her family who say they are very "worried" and emphasised she has no family in the US.

Friend Alicia Haynes posted on Twitter: "A girl I know is missing! She was last seen in the LA area on 9/9/21. No one has seen or heard from her since."

She added that her family in the UK and her friends in the US have not heard from her since 9 September.

Fear is described as 5’3″, 140lbs [10st/64kg], with black curly afro hair, and with dark brown eyes and an English accent.

She has been performing a series of stand-up comedy gigs in Los Angeles at venues including the HaHa Club and the Comedy Nook.

Her cousin Tendai tweeted: "My cousin is missing, she has no family in the US and we’re all really worried."

She added that Fear was last seen wearing a short-sleeved brown collared fitted top with a few buttons at the top and dark plaid trousers.

Friend Aurora Perrineau shared a recent photograph of the actress wearing a facemask.

Doctor Who fans have been quick to help by retweeting and sharing the reports and pictures.

Tendai said: "Tanya loves her Dr Who fans soooo much because of things like this!! Thank you for all your support."

Fear featured in an episode of the sci fi drama which saw giant spiders take over the city of Sheffield.

She has since starred in a series of short films called Shoot Your Shot which she also wrote and directed.
