Dianne Feinstein dead at 90: 'A true trailblazer'

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the six-term California Democrat and oldest sitting U.S. senator, has died, her office confirmed on Friday. She was 90.

"Sadly, Senator Feinstein passed away last night at her home in Washington, D.C.," James Saul, Feinstein's chief of staff, said in a statement. "Her passing is a great loss for so many, from those who loved and cared for her to the people of California that she dedicated her life to serving."
