Desperate mother's urgent appeal for missing children 'thought to be with their father'

A mother has made an appeal after her three children went missing after going on holiday with their father.

Dawn Daley said she has not seen her children, Maimunah Algehani, four, Aasayah Algehani, six, and Khalid Algehani, eight, for more than two weeks.

She said the three siblings are thought to be with their father, who picked them up from their mother's home in Wythenshawe, Manchester, on 30 July.

Ms Daley said her former partner told her he was taking the children to the village of Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire and planned to return them home on 10 August.

She raised the alarm when she went to his address last Wednesday and found no one at home.

Greater Manchester Police have launched a missing persons investigation and issued an appeal for information about the children's whereabouts.

The force said it is thought the children are with a family member, which Ms Daley believes to be their father.

"I just want to know where my children are," Ms Daley told the Manchester Evening News.

"I'm scared I'm never going to see them again. If anyone has any information please contact me or the police immediately."

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "On 10 August 2022, police received a report that three children aged eight, six and four were missing from their home in Wythenshawe.

"The children are believed to be with a family member. Enquiries are ongoing to trace the whereabouts of the children."
