Crowd watches chimney stacks being demolished in Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire

Footage shows a large crowd gathering on a residential street in West Yorkshire to watch the demolition of Ferrybridge's chimney stacks.

Two 200m (656ft) chimney stacks and a boiler house were flattened at the disused power station.

The coal-fired power station closed back in 2016 as a greener energy plant was built nearby, making the current station redundant.

The first part of the demolition took place back in July 2019.

Three cooling towers remain at the site and will also be brought down by controlled explosives in the near future.
