Corrections and clarifications

• The independent candidate Akhmed Yakoob gained 69,621 votes in last week’s West Midlands mayoral election, not “nearly 43,000” as two articles said (Party will ‘work hard’ to regain Muslim support after losing votes, 6 May, p5; Labour needs to rebuild voters’ trust lost over Gaza, say Reeves and Khan, 8 May, p14).

• A headline fumbled the French name for Wales (Pay de Galles, douze points? Land of song cries out for a Eurovision spot, 4 May, p13). It is, correctly, Pays de Galles. This error was in our print edition only.
