• The price listed for Goldman Sachs shares on the New York stock exchange was given in cents – for example, 417 cents at the end of March – when it should have been in dollars (Goldman Sachs staff in London could see 20% rise in bonuses, 27 May, p27).

• About 10,000 Jewish children came to Britain via the Kindertransport, not tens of thousands as we said in an obituary of the astrophysicist Arno Penzias, one of those evacuated this way (28 May, Journal, p10).
