Child dies after falling from upper-floor flat in south London

A child has died after falling from an upper-floor flat in south London, police have said.

Police and paramedics were called to Hotspur Street, Brixton, this afternoon after reports of a child having fallen from a building.

The child, whose age is not yet known, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second person, an adult woman, was taken to hospital.
